Drive thru is a thing of the past.

Starting Sept 1, I gave up all drive-thru as a way of eating better and spending less. I am not going to lie, I still eat fast food, but I take the extra 5 or 10 minutes to walk in, get in line and wait it out.

Taking the convenience out of drive-thru has led me to just walk in the grocery store and pick up something better (tasting and for me) instead, because I know the time will be the same now. I think also taking those extra few minutes I don't compulsively buy extra food like I always do while staring at the board out my car window trying to figure out just what I want. It also cuts out those runs at 12am when you think you just have to have something. And I am saving money!!!

So, I started just for the month of Sept and stuck to it. My friends sometimes look at me like why do we need to walk in as if I am crazy, but hey it works for me. So what if I walked into Whataburger or McD's.... no drive-thru. And that was and is the goal! I have decided to keep it going for the month of Oct. and hopefully much longer. I am losing weight, exercising more because I feel better, and saving a little money for the times I want to dine out and have a nice meal.

So, if you are looking to make some small, simple changes in your routine or diet. Try this. It really does work.
